Traditionally in a gay marriage its the man who proposes, and in a lesbian relationship the woman proposes.

Marriage equality–gay marriage, etc. will past in certain states, but won’t in more traditional states for the time being, but may pass in all of the states when the next generation takes over. I think that it is unseemingly that government should have any part in defining marriage. That is something for the individual and the culture to decide. Marriage should occur either within the context of one’s religion or via private contract which allows the participants to custom make their own marriage.

@bunkmasterflex Five years ago my best friend’s son Adam was married in Canada. Adam and his husband were married by a Rabbi in an outdoor service at a country club and I was the proud Gay ‘uncle’ in the gathering of 200. The certificate issued by the Province, not the utterance of the word god, makes their marriage legal. FOXwannabeNEWS is both laughable and irrelevant.

  4. bunkmasterflex says:

@46619TAB Alot of people seem to be under the false impression that gay marriage would involve mandating the catholic church willfully marry gay couples. Which is an idea I bet could be traced back to fox news. They had an anchor once make a statement about Canada saying that we had done that in our country which is just ridiculous and untrue. I couldn’t agree more if the war over equal human rights spilled over into semantics, then into semantics we march.

  5. RadarGuidedVermin says:

@jerico641 “us liberals behave like adults”

You yourself have blown that assertion right out of the water by blanketing Christian videos with some of the foulest language I’ve ever read. Lying seems to come naturally for you. Perhaps that is a liberal trait.

  6. jerico641 says:

Well, David, the facct is that most of us liberals behave like adults, and don’t enter into silly, immature wars of words like conservatives do. We’re also generally less aggressive and more civil than average conservatives. I personally don’t like to soil myself by arguing with them on their own terms.

As I said, there isn’t any wisdom in old gender traditions – there is rarely any wisdom in old traditions, anyway – so if a couple fancies marriage why should one gender feel proposing obligatory or rude or prohibited.

  8. pansyboy88 says:

@fanbutton Oh, boy. Another closet case. It all slips out in the language: going “ape,” “the deep end,” and the old standby, “sodom.” All the pent up desires, all that scary freedom, all those people not wanting to be slaves to some imaginary friend in the sky. But most of all, it’s people having pleasure, feeling happiness & fulfillment in their lives that eats at these poisonously jealous, covetous bronze-agers. Can’t stand seeing people FREE…gotta cower in fear of my sadistic ghost master..

  9. gaylolful says:

@MIMINHEROFOREVER I know it’s so stupid…so if the people who have power keep voting on whether it should be legal or not keep voting against people’s rights I have to keep on waiting? Lol…I hope they make this a national policy! I’d like to marry in the next 15 years(depending on my circumstance!).

  10. RaynMan718 says:

If you want to get married to your partner you ask them simple as that

  11. JazzRevolver says:

@FattyPhoneChannel so you openly condone denying people basic civil liberties because it makes you uncomfortable? Give me one rational reason marriage equality shouldn’t happen, do it, i dare you. Wait…you cant? I’m shocked i’m openly shocked that you can’t find anything. You think you’d have some logic to your agument but nope, just another symptom of you apparent down syndrome

  12. MaryJesusJoseph says:

@xtralimit Wow, it didn’t take much to bring the total bigot out of youi.

  13. FattyPhoneChannel says:

I’ll be totally honest, I’m not happy about any law passed for “marriage equality”- gay marriage. Not here to hate or to troll or anything. I’m not a closed minded Christian who hates anyone who doesn’t share my belief. Everyone has the freedom to pursue whatever life style that they want. And I’ve had many homosexual friends growing up through highschool who are amazing people and not evil or bad or anything like that. But I don’t have to condone something or”tolerate” what’s against my belief

  14. GigaBoost says:

@l0gically Set their personal values aside and vote in favour of MONEY, rather.

  15. coolrog0705 says:

@d3st88 so do you feel if the woman proposes that she also buy her own engagement ring or maybe just split it down the middle ? should the man receive a gift of equal value to the engagement ring as well so he doesn’t feel left out ?

  16. SmogHouseTradingCo says:

@46619TAB “BTW, animals are excluded as they can’t understand a legal document.” – Wait, so if I can find an animal that will understand the document I can marry them?! The search begins….

  17. TheUnbiasedGamer says:

I’m glad gays got the right to get married because everyone deserves equality but i bet they will wish it was illegal after experiencing it. Gays will then line up with a petition to make gay marriage illegal! Lol!! =D

  18. TheUnbiasedGamer says:

@SmogHouseTradingCo I’m against all marriage because marriage makes everyone miserable! =)

  19. SmogHouseTradingCo says:

I’m against all marriage. You all have to be single and miserable like me. Yeah I said it…

  20. l0gically says:

@GigaBoost It’s quite awesome that they are able to set their personal values aside and vote in favor of what’s right. That’s the mark of a true representative of the people.

  21. l0gically says:

@fanbutton Save your time – you’re not saying anything that hasn’t been repeated a million times already.

  22. xadam2dudex says:

oh no u didn’t just ask that question.!!. whoever gets up the courage to pop the question does the asking….u have to have talked about the subject I would think before even thinking about asking “the question” …it all depends on the couple..one may be more extroverted one more introverted one more spontaneous etc …there are no norms… how could there be ?

  23. xadam2dudex says:

@fanbutton u r a idiot… u push selective scripture like all lame ass morons who know nothing of god and people.. go back to the dark ages and take your backwards ideas with u..what a knuckle dragger

  24. xtralimit says:

@MaryJesusJoseph xD it was a joke retard. or did that hit too close to home faggot?

  25. MIMINHEROFOREVER says:

    this is stupid!
why do gay marriages need approval?!?!
and what is probably by straight ppl who make the approval…..
gay marriage should of been accepted since the word marriage ever existed!
